What Has Happened So Far in ‘House Of The Dragon’?
Season 1 of ‘House of the Dragon’ ended with the death of King Viserys I and pointed at an imminent conflict as there’s now a void in power after the death of the monarch. The struggle for succession is inevitable as the two strongest figures likely to take the throne will clash.
Meanwhile, Princess Rhaenyra learns of her son’s demise and stands with determination in the first season as the realm is on the brink of war.
In the latest trailers, HBO Max puts forth an obvious contrast and even invites the viewers to align themselves with either the Green Council of King Aegon or the Black Council of Queen Rhaenyra. Both factions present compelling arguments as to why they are the rightful heir to the throne.
The trailers promise a complex political story narrative as the two bravest and smartest characters of Westeros are set to claim their throne and do whatever it takes to acquire it.
Some familiar faces will return to the second season along with some new arrivals, including Matt Smith as Daemon Targaryen, Olivia Cooke as Alicent Hightower, and Emma D’Arcy as Rhaenyra Targaryen, among others.
