‘She-Hulk: Attorney at Law‘ is the new series by Marvel studios. The series is currently streaming on Disney+. As the new episodes are released every week, it continues to spark conversation through its study of Jennifer Walters. It’s clear to the fans that Marvel did a great job of marketing the series. After wrapping up one of the most epic superhero stories that spanned more than 10 years, Marvel has been trying to recreate that magic with Phase Four. But looks like this phase has been far from successful.
This new project by marvel was received with a positive attitude in the beginning. After the release of two more episodes, Marvel started facing intense backlash from reviewers online. People online even said that it is “cringe,” “unfunny,” and “Garbage” that hate on men. Lately, Many of Marvel Studios’ projects, such as Eternals, Moon Knight, and Ms. Marvel have faced backlash. But, the MCU’s latest series ‘She-Hulk: Attorney at Law‘ is no different. If anything, it’s actually worse.

The new series is rather different from what Marvel has been producing so far. It is true that humor, sarcasm, and irreverence have also been part of the MCU, but a sitcom is its new experiment. Marvel and the media are doing everything they can to change the narratives. Marvel is blaming the fans for promoting the bad reviews. But let’s look at why Marvel didn’t meet fans’ expectations.
Here are a number of reasons why ‘She-Hulk‘ has resulted in the worst reviewed performance till now among all MCU series. She-Hulk’s lackluster CGI was another point against the studio’s handling of its latest projects and one that was hard to ignore. The writers admitted that they Don’t know anything about legal trials nor hired anyone who knew. People are saying that She-Hulk is nothing more than a feminist group therapy session. And the character was reduced from a multi-dimensional person to a one-tone feminist.
“Hulk is a great character. I love Jen and her funny happy go lucky personality and how she was always checking out the hot guys around her like Hercules and Sub Mariner. However, this insufferable, whiny, perpetually victimized, narcissistic green windbag Disney has created for us is not She-Hulk. Instead, they have unleashed upon us a lazily written, miserable man-hating hag with virtually no resemblance to the original other than the green skin color,” wrote one of the people against She-Hulk’s live-action portrayal.

How Did The Actors React?
During a virtual panel for the TCA summer press tour, She-Hulk’s lead star Tatiana Maslany addresses the backlash to the Disney+ series’ CGI and defends Marvel.
Talking to ‘Variety,‘ she said, “I feel incredibly, like, deferential to how talented these artists are and how quickly they have to work, obviously, like much quicker than probably should be given to them, in terms of like churning these things out. I do think that we have to like be super conscious of how the work conditions aren’t always optimal and that they’ve made these amazing strides in this industry.”
The show is created and written principally by Jessica Gao with Coiro leading the directing team. They addressed the panel and said, “It’s terrible that a lot of artists feel rushed and feel that the workload is too massive. I mean, I think everybody on this panel stands in solidarity with all workers and is very pro-good working conditions.“
Coiro added, “We’re not behind the scenes on these long nights and days. If they’re feeling pressure we stand with them and we listen to them. I do think that has to do with our culture’s belief in their ownership of women’s bodies. There’s a lot of talk about her body type. We based her a lot on Olympian athletes, not bodybuilders, but I think if we’d gone the other way, we would be facing the same critique. I think it’s very hard to win when you make women’s bodies.”
