Across its eight seasons, ‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine’ has introduced some of the most iconic recurring characters who would show up for just one episode and somehow immediately steal all the attention.
Narrowing this list down is no easy task, but some minor characters leave a very special impression. These are the top 10 most memorable ‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine’ characters we can never forget.
10. David Santiago

As the Santiago family’s smug golden child, David Santiago is that one character we were supposed to hate. But Lin-Manuel Miranda’s off-beat performance makes him hilariously lovable. On top of it, his chemistry with Amy, especially that little dance-off, was the cherry on top. He might have appeared only once, but that was enough to make him one of the most memorable characters in the entire show.

9. Caleb The Cannibal

Caleb likes to think of himself as a woodworker, but his horrifyingly casual stories about cannibalism are what really make him unforgettable. He brought a perfect mix of morbid humour and genuine menace to the show. Somehow, he managed to become Jake’s best friend in jail. Whether it is taking up embroidery or handling his cannibalism Reddit community, Caleb is a disturbingly hilarious addition to the show.
8. Teddy

Teddy may be the most boring man alive, but that is exactly what makes him so funny. He is obsessed with pilsner, calls Diet Ginger Ale his favorite drink, and claims that Contacts is his favorite app. As much as we hate his increasingly ridiculous proposals to Amy, Teddy was a beloved part of the show, and every appearance he made was genuinely funny.
7. Mlep(clay)nos

This guy goes by more names than anyone can keep track of at this point. He is either from Honolulu or some mysterious fictional country and apparently sells horse blood for a living. At the same time, he is an incredibly talented violinist and somehow always forgets meeting Jake and Amy. Every appearance he makes just keeps growing bizarre in the funniest way possible and sometimes, you just need to sit down and think about this peculiar character.
6. Bill

No ‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine’ heist feels complete without Bill, Charles Boyle’s uncanny body double. Little is known about his life, except that every annual appearance he makes just finds him in an even more miserable situation than before. Whether he is impersonating Charles or delivering a surprisingly accurate Gina impression, Bill was an unforgettable part of the show.
5. Madeline Wuntch

Madeline Wuntch was the perfect rival for Captain Holt, and they knew just the way to get under each other’s skin. Their devastatingly savage and hilarious banter remains unmatched. Wuntch was the only person who could bring out a very sassy side of Holt’s personality. Whether it is Holt pushing her into Michelle Obama, or Wuntch making him wear a pigeon costume, they were just hilarious to watch.

4. Adrian Pimento

Adrian Pimento is easily the wildest member in the ‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine’ universe. After spending 12 years undercover, he struggles hilariously to adjust to normal life. From shocking proposals to running away mid-sentence, there is no predicting where a Pimento storyline – or conversation – will ever go, and that is why he remains so unforgettable.
3. Kevin Cozner

Kevin is the robotic husband of equally robotic Captain Holt and they are a match made in heaven. His co-workers in the Colombia classics department seem to think that Holt is his “working-class bimbo”, but Kevin brings his own brand of dry humour that remains unmatched. He likes to place garbage gently in the bin with both his hands, enjoys completely silent drives with his husband, and thinks Captain Holt is the funniest human alive.
2. Cheddar

An animal with zero lines somehow managed to charm its way into our hearts to become one of the most favorite characters in the entire show. Sometimes he likes to majestically save the day, and sometimes he brings perfectly timed chaos to ruin everything. He has a show-stealing confidence and a deceptively cunning personality, all while looking incredibly adorable. Only true fans know that he is not some “common b***h”.
1. Doug Judy

Doug Judy, better known as the Pontiac Bandit, has practically become an honorary member of the Nine-Nine gang because of his repeated appearances. Every season has its own dedicated Doug Judy episode where he uses his signature method again and again to fool Jake. But every single time, they find a way to reunite and do their nerdy best friends things once again.
