‘Modern Family’ is one of the most beloved sitcoms that fans cannot get enough of even years after its conclusion. While many have even voiced their hopes to get a reboot of the comedy series, the creators and actors both have seemingly decided to leave it at what they deemed to be a fitting end to the story of all of its characters.
While the show may have bid a tearful goodbye to its viewers, its cast members are still in touch with each other while also reuniting every once in a while. Ty Burrell, known for his role as Phil Dunphy on the show, may have some good news for his fans. He’s set to be back on the screen with another classic show. Ty Burell Set To Take Lead Role In Reboot Of ‘Tightrope!’
Ty Burrell, who won many hearts as the husband and father with a golden retriever personality on ‘Modern Family‘, is set to hit our screens again in the lead role of a reimagining of the classic series ‘Tightrope!’
‘Tightrope!’ was a crime drama that ran between 1959 and 1960, with its story centered around an undercover agent navigating the world of criminal gangs. The reboot of the classic show will add a fresh twist to the narrative as it will transform the rather intense drama into a slapstick comedy for modern audiences.
In this reimagined version, Burrell will take on the role of a lone-wolf detective who travels from city to city for his cases, all while on the hunt for his elusive long-lost love. To add more to the brilliance of the show is Bryan Cranston, the popular leading face from ‘Breaking Bad’, serving as as the executive producer of the show, injecting the project with his signature flair.

Ty Burrell And Bryan Cranston Are Both Excited About ‘Tightrope!’ Reboot
Bryan Cranston said he is excited about the project while also opening up about his inspiration behind the project. The ‘Breaking Bad‘ actor said that the show will take a wild departure from the norm and will instead emerge as a zany comedy.
“I was inspired by the on-the-nose old drama series of the ’50s, to mess with the whole thing and create a new version of a lunatic comedy, never seen before in a TV series,” Cranston said, while talking about the show.
He also stated that ‘Tightrope’ is a result of a fever dream that was “conceived over a bowl of chili at Chasen’s”. Meanwhile, Ty Burrell also opened up about his excitement about the show. “I’m so thrilled to be working with Bryan, and Roku Originals, on this bonkers (in the best way) idea of a show,” he added.
Moreover, Burrell is also set to return to ABC for ‘Forgive and Forget’, another comedy show that fans are eagerly anticipating.
