Netflix‘s ‘Dead Boy Detectives‘ based on the DC comics was released in April 2023 with its first season. The show comes under the ‘Sandman‘ franchise with supernatural, mysterious, and adventurous aspects arguing with the rich world. The universe was launched to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Sandman.
The series opened well during the first week and was in the top 2 in April. But even after being on the top list, show got canceled after its first season. It had a twisted ending to it, though that’s not the sole reason it was cancelled.

On April 25, 2023, the first season of the show aired on Netflix with eight seasons and mysteries, and each character exploring their past and riddles in the narrative. Strong character development with a whimsical tone and the chemistry between George Rexstrew and Jayden Revri were the highlights of the show.
The numbers of the show dropped from 4.7 million in the first week to 1.8 million in the third week. One of the interesting aspects of the show was its connection to the ‘Sandman’ universe.
