‘This Is Us’: The Fate Of The Pearson Family
The finale of ‘This Is Us’ aired on May 24, 2022, and did not feature any twists or surprises for the audience. Instead of all these, there were some loose ends that had to be wrapped up and the viewers were given a reflection on how far each character has come and the legacy of the Pearsons.
The episode focuses on the death of Rebecca which was seemingly confirmed to happen in the end. The final episode shows that the extended Pearson family lays Rebecca to rest and viewers possibly feel that a majority of the episode does not feature sequences honoring Rebecca.
But the intention of the final episode was to focus on how to move on when the main backbone, which includes Pearson’s parents and their sense of purpose, are gone forever from this world.

The Perfect Finale
The finale proves that Rebecca was always destined to be with Jack. She is feeling guilty after moving on and re-marrying after Jack’s death and the finale portrays the balance of remembering someone close to you but there is still a need left to live forever.
The show concludes the main arcs in such a way that is important for the finale of a particular series. The show started with The Big Three being adopted by Jack and Rebecca and it feels great to see that the three kids are now grown up and living the lives they were meant to live.
Kevin, Kate, and Randall are prepared for everything that would happen in their lives now and because their parents are not with them, they have learned to process their grief. All three decide to be an important part of each others’ lives and take care of each other alongside appreciating the only family they have left with them.
