‘Gilmore Girls’ is a famous American comedy series that debuted in 2000. The story of ‘Gilmore Girls’ revolves around a single mother Lorelai Gilmore and her intellectual teenage daughter Rory Gilmore. ‘Gilmore Girls’ has aired for seven years and has seven seasons in total. The show is set in the fictional town of Stars Hollow, Connecticut, which is a close-knit community located roughly thirty minutes from Hartford.
It features Lauren Graham, Alexis Bledel, Melissa McCarthy, Keiko Agena, Scott Patterson, Yanic Truesdale, Kelly Bishop, Edward Herrmann, and others in the lead roles. In 2016, Amy Sherman-Palladino brought a revival series ‘Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life’, which was positively received by the viewers.

Stars Hollow in ‘Gilmore Girls’
Stars Hollow is a town set in Connecticut, and the protagonists of the show reside in this place. Just like every other town, Stars Hollow consists primarily of businesses surrounding a park with a gazebo and also features several other spots like Luke’s Diner, Doose’s Market, Miss Patty’s dance studio, the town’s house of worship, and the public high school.
Stars Hollow is inspired by the real villages that exist in Kent, Connecticut; Washington Depot, Connecticut; and West Hartford, Connecticut. Star Hollow also includes antique shops, small businesses, schools, etc.

Can One Visit Stars Hollow?
Stars Hollow is a fictional town that was featured in ‘Gilmore Girls’ and ‘Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life.’ The place has been presented authentically and so it felt real. The series’ pilot was filmed on Main Street located in Unionville, Ontario. Some other spots are also featured in the pilot. The scenes at Luke’s diner were shot at 156 Main Street, which is now Gratie Medical Spa.
The church of Stars Hollow is located at 150 Main Street and it also appeared in the series. A few real spots in Unionville have also been used to film certain scenes of the show. The remaining parts of the show were filmed in the Warner Bros. lot in Burbank, California. The houses where the characters were living were also constructed on the set.
Sookie and Lorelai’s houses were connected and the rest of the sets were Luke’s Diner, Doose’s Market, Stars Hollow High School, and Church, Mrs. Kim’s antique store, and the gazebo. Some important moments of the series were shot in the two locations in Los Angeles. Some scenes were also filmed at The Ebell Club.
