‘Demon Slayer’ has quickly become one of the most popular anime. Fans are loving the anime’s animation, the plot, and of course, the wonderful characters. The protagonists have a hold on the fans but it’s the antagonists that have left a lasting impression on most fans of the anime. In particular, it is the upper moons that the fans are very curious about.
In particular, two of these upper moons intrigue the fans beyond limits. They are Douma and Akaza. These two upper moons are very different from each other and each of them holds a very distinct quality. Fans wish to know who among the two of them would win in a fight.
Who Are Douma And Akaza?
Akaza is the upper moon 3 of Muzan’s twelve Kizuki. Akaza, despite being a demon, is more noble than most fans believe. He is very loyal to Kibutsuji Muzan, but he has his principles. Akaza believes that all the people he deems as weaklings should not exist. On the other hand, he has a rule that he does not harm girls or ladies and fights only men. Akaza also remembers the name of every strong opponent he has fought and truly admires strength. Despite his personality, fans still despise Akaza for killing Rengoku Kyojuro.
Douma is the upper moon 2 of the twelve kizuki. Personality-wise, Douma is the opposite of Akaza. Where Akaza is headstrong and serious, Douma is very chill. However, that doesn’t mean that he isn’t strong or evil. Douma is the leader of a cult where he kills and eats his followers. Whilst Akaza does not harm women, Douma has no such inhibitions. He even killed Inosuke’s mother after she found out his true nature.
Who Would Win In A Fight?
It is unlikely that the two demons would ever fight as Muzan doesn’t like disobedience. However, in a hypothetical battle, Douma would win against Akaza. Many fans believe that because Akaza was able to cut off Douma’s head, he would win. However that isn’t true, Douma mentioned to Kokushibo that he purposely let Akaza hit him.
Douma became a demon after Akaza did and he rose through the ranks to become the upper moon 2 which is higher than Akaza. That alone is a testament to his strength. In addition to that, Akaza is a close-range fighter. Douma on the other hand is a mid to long-range fighter and his ice techniques give him a great advantage.
Akaza’s blood demon techniques further enhance his physical prowess which makes him stronger than Douma in terms of physical strength. However, Douma also has his fans which can move at supersonic speeds and create very strong gusts of wind. Akaza would need to reach him to attack him, but Douma can very well prevent it if he tries properly. This is why Douma would win a battle between the two demons.
