‘Demon Slayer’ has some of the best villains in all of the anime world. These villains are both strong as well as captivating. Most of these villains have captured the audience’s interest, whether the fans hate them or they find them relatable. One such villain is the primary antagonist Kibutsuji Muzan. Most fans do not like his character, but they admire his power.
Muzan is the strongest demon in ‘Demon Slayer’ and he is also the first demon to ever exist. However, even the strongest demon has some weaknesses. Fans wish to know what exactly are Kibutsuji Muzan’s weaknesses.
Who Is Kibutsuji Muzan?
Kibutsuji Muzan is the primary antagonist of the show as mentioned above. He is the strongest demon in existence and was the first of his kind. Muzan was turned into a demon accidentally over a thousand years ago. When Muzan was human, he was extremely ill and many doctors were called to heal him. One doctor used the blue spider lily in medicine and gave that to Muzan. The medicine healed him, but it also turned him into a demon.
When he was a human, Muzan belonged to the Ubuyashiki clan. After he was turned into a demon, the clan was cursed. Ever since Muzan’s turning into a demon, the clan has taken it upon itself to stop him and kill him. Personality-wise, Kibutsuji Muzan is quite fickle and intelligent. He is the kind of person who likes to have contingency plans and is quite cautious. He is also very cruel and doesn’t tolerate disrespect and incompetence.
What Are Muzan’s Weaknesses?
Kibutsuji Muzan’s biggest weakness would have to be sunlight. After he was turned and found out about his strength and new powers, he also found out that he could no longer walk in the sun. Because of this particular weakness, Muzan is looking for the blue spider lily flower. This was the flower that the doctor used in his prototype medicine which turned him into a demon.
Other than the sun, he is also vulnerable against the nichirin blades that the demon slayer corps uses. These blades are made from scarlet ore and scarlet crimson iron sand. These blades are the only ones that work against the demons. However, it is a bit more difficult to kill Muzan using these blades as he has multiple brains and hearts.
Another thing that Muzan was weak against was Tamayo’s poison that she made. Tamayo gave Muzan that poison during the final battle and it aged him by over nine thousand years. Due to this, his movements became a little slower and he was not able to fight at his fullest. However, despite the effects of that poison, Muzan still gave a very hard time to Tanjiro, Insouke, Nezuko, Zenitsu, and the Hashira.
