‘Demon Slayer’ is one of the most popular anime currently. The series has taken the anime world by storm and the fans are eagerly waiting for new episodes and even further seasons. The fans are eager to see Kamado Tanjiro along with the demon slayer corps and Hashira defeat the demon king. Some fans however wonder about the anime going a little differently.
Fans are curious about what would have happened if Kibutsuji Muzan hadn’t killed the Kamado family. They wish to know how the anime would have progressed then.
Who Is Kibutsuji Muzan?
Kibutsuji Muzan is the primary antagonist of ‘Demon Slayer’. He is the strongest demon in existence and is dubbed the demon king. Muzan was made into a demon accidentally. When he was human, he used to be ill and was going to die. One doctor gave him a prototype medicine that contained the blue spider lily. That medicine not only cured him, but it also did a little more than that. It turned Muzan into the first-ever demon.
Although he became considerably stronger after that, he did have a few weaknesses. He became weak to sunlight, and nichirin blades. After many years of being a demon and turning others into demons, Muzan decided that he wanted to create twelve really strong demons. He created these demons and gave them a higher quantity of his blood. These demons came to be known as the twelve Kizuki.
Muzan tried to turn many people into demons. He did that to increase their strength. The other reason that he did it was that he wanted one demon to evolve and become resistant to the sun so that Muzan could consume that demon. His dream came true when Nezuko was able to withstand the sun.
What If He Never Killed The Kamado Family?
If Muzan had never killed the Kamado family, then Tanjiro would never have become a demon slayer. He would be a woodcutter and would have chosen to remain there. As a result, Tanjiro wouldn’t have tapped into the Sun Breathing style, the original and strongest breathing style.
To Muzan’s misfortune that would also have meant that Nezuko would not have become a demon and wouldn’t have overcome her weakness of the sun. On the flip side, Muzan might have been able to find the blue spider lily as Tanjiro’s mother was aware of their location and took him to see them as a child.
For the rest of the characters, since Tanjiro wouldn’t have become a demon, many of the moons wouldn’t have been killed at the time. Therefore Muzan wouldn’t have gotten agitated and wouldn’t have killed the lower moons. There is also a possibility that he wouldn’t target the slayers so openly and things would have gone on at the same speed before Tanjiro became a demon slayer. This is what would have happened if Muzan didn’t kill the Kamado family.
