    10. Sword Art Online

    Sword Art Online

Arguably the most well-known isekai series, ‘Sword Art Online’, is quite divisive, a characteristic made worse by overexposure. The game ‘SAO’ is named after will eventually entrap all of its players inside its realm. The tale then centers on Kirito, a strong, dark knight-like guy who has a charming relationship with Asuna and a large cast of other (female) characters.

The popularity of the anime speaks for itself, despite the fact that ‘SAO’ has its fair share of issues and that some seasons are clearly better than others. ‘Gun Gale Online’, a great spin-off of the main series, is called ‘Sword Art Online Alternative’

    9. The Devil Is A Part-Timer!

    Devil is a part timer

A masterful fusion of comedy and isekai can be found in ‘The Devil Is A Part-Timer!’ Satan is plucked out of hell and delivered to the real world, as opposed to the series’ protagonist being whisked from the mundane world into one filled with mysticism and adventure. He immediately realizes that he must find a way to support himself, so he takes part-time work at McD’s.

He introduces himself as “Sadao Maou” and starts frying hamburgers right away. ‘The Devil Is an Intermittent!’ because Sadao’s story is the complete opposite—the hero doesn’t begin as an ordinary person who acquires godlike powers—it appeals to so many admirers.

    8. The Saga Of Tanya The Evil

    Tanya the evil

When seeking a fantastic isekai anime to watch, ‘The Saga of Tanya the Evil’ doesn’t play around with its cold-hearted protagonist and militaristic fantasy scenario. God reincarnates an atheist salaryman as an orphan girl at a time before World War One. He is informed that if he passes away unexpectedly, he will end the cycle of reincarnation and go to Hell.

Thus, he (or rather Tanya) has joined the military’s Mage Corps and is hoping to advance fast through the ranks so she won’t ever have to engage in combat again. Tanya’s dark crusade will be remembered as one of the greatest examples of isekai anime because no sacrifice seemed too dire and nothing had to be put ahead of her survival.

    7. KonoSuba

    Konosuba

Being a concept rather than a specific genre, isekai encompasses a variety of works, including character studies, historical dramas, and possibly even horror. As Kazuma assembles a band of misfits, ‘KonoSuba’ engages in a series of outrageous mishaps that frequently result in hearty chuckles.

Naturally, there are a lot of isekai comedies, but ‘KonoSuba’ may be the best. The program, which frequently reads like a parody of isekai cliches, centers on Kazuma, a teenager who dies in a bizarre way but is given a second chance by Aqua, a goddess who isn’t exactly elegant. When given the option of choosing just one item to bring with him into the new world, Kazuma chooses Aqua, a choice that he will occasionally come to rue in the future.

    6. Overlord

    Overlord

A protagonist is typically called into a new planet to aid in its salvation in isekai series. With ‘Overlord’, though, such is not the case. A gamer turns into his digital alter ego, the Elder Lich Momonga, after being unceremoniously relocated to another planet. Later, he changes his identity to Ainz Ooal Gown and assumes control of the Tomb of Nazarick.

Ainz plans to rule the entire planet with his newly acquired might an army of devoted followers. ‘Overlord’ is anything but dull, despite the fact that the protagonist is stronger than any other character in the anime series. This series is a must-watch for any fan of isekai since it has amusing character interactions and regular demonstrations of Ainz’s godlike power.

    5. The Rising Of The Shield Hero

The rising of the shield hero

In ‘The Rising of the Shield Hero’, Naofumi Iwatani is one of four heroes who have been sent to a brand-new world in an effort to save it. Unfortunately, the people who summoned him frequently treat him unfairly because he is the Shield Hero. His lone friend, Princess Malty, accuses him of sexual assault, which only makes things worse for him.

As a result, Naofumi becomes a shell of his former self. He goes from being a good, trustworthy man to becoming jaded and wary of everyone. Along with its thrilling battle scenes, ‘The Rising of the Shield Hero’ is praised for its strong character development. Naofumi exemplifies what it means to be a true hero by persevering in the face of prejudice and hatred.

    4. Log Horizon

    Log Horizon

Beginning as merely another MMORPG-based Isekai, ‘Log Horizon’ quickly distinguished itself through its incredibly clever writing. In contrast to several other episodes, the main protagonists of Elder Tale immediately begin creating the kind of world they have always imagined.

This anime is clever and well-paced, making the most of the action while avoiding utilizing it as a crutch during slower sections. The difficulties of creating a new community and making sure everyone lives in peace are not minimized. Even with a slower pacing, Log Horizon is one of the most clever and fascinating Isekai ever created. There are presently two seasons available, and a third is forthcoming.

    3. No Game No Life

    No Game No Life

Sora and his stepsister Shiro are NEET siblings in the television series No Game No Life. The two siblings who go by the name Blank are undisputed video game winners. In response, a god transports them to a brand-new dimension where winning and losing are decided by playing games.

They are thrown into the imaginary world of Disboard after defeating the deity Tet in a game of chess. No one can hurt anyone else in Disboard, and all problems must be resolved through gaming. That not only paints an intriguing picture of the conflict, but it also shows very intriguing interactions between the main characters and the outside world.

    2. Re: Zero – Starting Life In Another World

    Re: Zero

No discussion of isekai anime would be complete without Re: Zero – Starting Life in Another World. Natsuki Subaru is transported to a fanciful location plagued by a terrible force. Subaru has a power known as “Return by Death” that allows her to resurrect herself and travel through time to a specific point.

It begins with a lighthearted tone before turning grim as Subaru finds himself mercilessly dying in several ways. With each resurrection, he is given a new opportunity to stand up for those who are dear to him. Because of White Fox’s captivating animation, excellent writing, and a cast of endearing characters like Emilia and Rem, it is one of the best isekai anime ever produced.
