These individuals are not only curses, although they are very strong and have created quite an amount of trouble in the world. The sorcerers are amazing as well. Whilst Gojo Satoru is considered the strongest sorcerer ever because of his abilities, there are others whose abilities the fans know and respect.
However, there is one sorcerer that the fans are very curious about. Tengen Sama is one of the most respected and strongest individuals in the series, but fans are unclear about their existence and their importance to the Jujutsu world.
Who Is Tengen Sama?
Tengen Sama is an Immortal being in the ‘Jujutsu Kaisen’ world. They are one of the most important people in the series if not the most. They live in the tombs of the star corridor and they have been alive for over 1200 years. Even though Tengen Sama is immortal, their body can decay. Due to this, they need to merge with a star plasma vessel every few years. If they are unable to merge with the star plasma vessel, they will lose their sense of self and the entire Jujutsu world will be in danger.
Appearance-wise, Tengen Sama seems quite inhuman. They have four eyes and a cylinder-shaped head. They wear light-colored robes. Because Toji Fushiguro killed the previous star plasma vessel, they are maintaining their sense of self through willpower. Personality-wise, Tengen Sama is very kind. They wanted Gojo and Geto to honor Riko Amanai’s last wishes. This entails that they felt bad about her fate and wanted to honor her final wishes. They are very straightforward and possess great knowledge about everything.
Why Is Tengen Sama Necessary In The Jujutsu World?
As mentioned above, Tengen Sama is one of the most important people in the series, if not the most. This is because of their abilities. Tengen Sama is the most potent barrier user, even more so than Kenjaku. However, they do not use jujutsu to fight or in any offensive way. They have created barriers around the two Jujutsu High schools in order to protect them. If they die, the barrier falls and the schools are put in danger.
It is also their barrier that protects the entrance of the tomb of the star corridor. In the pathway leading to the chambers, is the warehouse that stores all the cursed tools. If Tengen Sama didn’t exist, the tools would be free to be taken by everyone which would wreak havoc in the world.
In addition to their abilities, their intelligence is a great asset to the Jujutsu world as well. Whilst they didn’t make major contributions in the other arcs, they were very important during the culling games. They helped Megumi, Itadori and the others. It was Tengen Sama’s strategy that created the plan to defeat Kenjaku. Their plans also evolved as more information was unveiled which showcased the intelligence and wisdom they had gained over 1200 years.
