The father-son duo, who previously created history by becoming the first father-son duo to win Emmys in the same year are all set to take the stage and host next year’s Emmys, as reported by the Recording Academy and the actors themselves.
Dan Levy and Eugene Levy, who are co-creators of the hit show ‘Schitt’s Creek’ will be the first father and son duo to host the program. “For two Canadians who won our Emmys in a literal quarantine tent, the idea of being asked to host this year in an actual theater was incentive enough,” both the actors said in a statement. “We’re thrilled to be able to raise a glass to this extraordinary season of television and can’t wait to spend the evening with you all on Sept. 15.”
Television Academy Chair Cris Abrego also said that he was “thrilled to welcome two generations of comedy genius to the Emmy’s stage as hosts. I cannot wait for Emmy fans to see what they have in store for all of us.”
