SUGA, a member of the world famous K-Pop band, BTS, met the Golden State Warriors ahead of the NBA Japan tournament on September 29, 2022. BTS fans, Army, are very well aware of the fact that SUGA is a basketball fanatic and a good player. He had shared his fondness for basketball during his debut period. His position was usually point guard or shooting guard. Fun fact: His stage name was derived from the first two parts of his basketball position.
The rapper has also played quite a few times in his school, and won many basketball games. It was also a known trivia amongst Army that SUGA played basketball every Sunday, when he was a trainee. He was scouted for a team with some college students at the Han River, Korea, but since he debuted, he did not play. Is Stephen Curry An Army?
In the past, SUGA has attended a couple of Golden State Warriors games in Los Angeles. Earlier this week, the BTS member shared a photo of himself posing with a Golden State Warriors jersey. It had his name and his favourite number 3 on the back.

The Warriors star point guard Stephen Curry noticed the tweet and complimented the BTS member’s jersey. He also said that he would see him soon. Later, Curry followed him on Instagram. Fans of BTS went crazy after seeing this exchange and speculated that the basketball legend is an Army. It looks like Curry was not exaggerating when he said “See you soon.”

SUGA and Stephen Curry met in person on September 29. The Warriors’ point guard said to SUGA that he was a big fan and that his kids and everybody in the family are also big fans. He also added that it was great to meet him. With his hands on his chest, the rapper replied that it was an honour.
SUGA Met The Warriors And Revealed That He Is Planning On An Album
The Warriors uploaded a clip of their meet as the two legends of basketball and K-Pop, Curry and SUGA, exchanged jerseys and albums. They later posed for photos together. Just look at all the cameras focusing on them!
The translator who accompanied SUGA told Steph that the rapper is planning for his next album. When Curry asked about how far along is he with project, another basketball player interrupted and shook hands and hugged SUGA. Curry took to his Twitter after their meet and posted photos of them together. He wrote, “An honor meeting you SUGA!! Welcome to #DubNation”.

Other Warriors players, including Klay Thompson and Draymond Green also got the chance to meet SUGA. The Golden State Warriors and the Washington Wizards will play their two NBA Japan preseason games on September 30 at 7 p.m. KST and October 2 at 2 p.m. KST at the Saitama Super Arena.
