Justin Bieber and model Hailey Baldwin (now Hailey Bieber) tied the knot in 2018. The two have known each other since 2009, when they first met at a fan event. In an interview with Vogue, she explained, “I was never a superfan, of him or of anyone. It was never that crazed, screaming thing. I didn’t think about it in any kind of way except for the fact that he was cute. Everybody had a crush on him. But for the first few years we had a weird age gap.” Later, she told E! News, “I’ve known him since I was so young — since I was like 13 — and we’ve just been good friends over the years. We have just stayed close and there’s nothing more to it than that.”
With many ups and downs of friendships and flings, the two announced their engagement in July 2018 and, by September the same year, the two got married. Hailey, previously has talked about wanting kids at a young age, but that seems to have changed with time. Talking with WSJ Magazine, the supermodel confirmed that at least for the year 2022, the two aren’t looking forward to become parents. As the covid pandemic got slightly under control, the duo returned to their respective careers full time. Justin had his Justice Tour ahead of him, which he has recently cancelled because of health issues. Hailey was on the road with him on his tour while also focused on the launch of her skin care brand, Rhode. Hailey said that the “hectic” year ahead of them will definitely keep them away from this decision. “I think ideally in the next couple of years we would try. But there’s a reason they call it try, right?” Hailey responded to the question of having kids. She added, “You don’t know how long that process is ever going to take.”
She also addressed the societal pressure that women are subjected to when it comes to bearing children. “There’s this thing that happens for women when you get married. Everybody always assumes it’s: First comes love, then comes marriage, then comes the baby. I think I had it ingrained in my head that I was going to want to have kids right away and I was going to want to have kids super, super young,” she explained. However, now her priorities are clear, and she wants to focus on herself and her career. She added, “Then I turned 25 and I’m like, I’m still super, super young!”

In 2020, the ‘peaches‘ singer appeared at The Ellen DeGeneres Show. The singer talked about not being in a rush to expand his family with Hailey yet. He also added that he wants to put Hailey’s decisions about having kids a priority, saying, “I’m going to have as many as Hailey is wishing to push out. I’d love to have myself a little tribe, but it’s her body and whatever she wants to do.”
