Hollywood’s bombshell Eiza Gonzalez is known for her rebellious characters in ‘Bay Driver’, ‘I Care A Lot‘, and ‘Godzilla vs Kong ‘. Born in 1990, Eiza is a versatile actress with several other talents which include singing. Despite her success, Eiza has always spoken out against the stereotyping of Latin Women.
The Latin star is currently doing press runs to promote the upcoming Netflix series ‘3 Body Problem’. However, despite her interview being for her role in the series she did not shy away from stating her opinions regarding the ‘over-sexualization’ of Latin women.
Eiza Gonzalez On Her With Her Looks
A lot of Latin women and women in general talk about being ‘put in a box’ when it comes to getting cast. Besides, Eiza Gonzalez the ‘Modern Family‘ star Sofia Vergara has also talked about having difficulty with finding roles due to her accent. However, unlike Eiza she did not mind it as her flawless body opened doors for her. In an interview with InStyle Magazine Eiza opened up about her struggles as a Latin woman in Hollywood.
She explained that due to always feeling out of place she went through an identity crisis. “I just think it’s an overly sexualized idea of a Latin woman. It’s so disappointing and it’s so pathetic. I had an identity crisis for a very long time. I was like, ‘Do I shave my head? Do I make myself less attractive? Do I make myself more attractive, Do I not dress super-hot or do I dress super-hot or do I cover myself all the time?’

Gonzalez Recalls Her Struggles With Being ‘Too Hot’ To Find Suitable Roles
Despite Eiza’s issue with being ‘too Hot‘ sounding bizarre, it’s a real issue with women in Hollywood. Beautiful women in general are bullied by the media with Megan Fox being a prime example. Fox, at one point, was labeled as the sexiest woman. However, in a recent interview, she revealed that she was never content with her looks.
So, Eiza speaking up against the stereotyping in Hollywood is no joke. Gonzalez further talked about getting rejected from several projects for being too hot. “I remember having so many projects. She’s too pretty for the role. She’s too hot for the role. Then I’d just be like, ‘What is Margot Robbie? She’s the hottest, most beautiful woman I’ve ever seen in my life!’ None of my white friends who were in the industry were getting that. It was just me.”
However, a lot of people were quick to troll Eiza for sharing her issues. People claimed that the reason behind her not getting roles was due to her bad acting skills and not due to her being ‘too hot’.
They further compared her to other beautiful actresses like Margot Robbie and Emma Stone. After getting bashed for her statement Eiza clarified what she meant via her X post claiming that her words were taken out of context.
