‘Expats’ Actress Nicole Kidman Reveals Her Children Are Not Interested In Her Work Except These Projects

Since the early 1990s, Nicole Kidman has entertained the audience and enthralled them with her performances. Be it the Stanley Kubrick directorial ‘Eyes Wide Shut’ or her Academy-winning performance as Virginia Woolf in ‘The Hours’. With her recent advent in the long story-telling format, she will be seen in Prime Video’s new ‘Expats’.

The Lulu Wang directorial, ‘Expats’, revolves around three migrant women to Hong Kong. They have separate struggles, but fate brings the three together, which establishes a formidable connection between them. Recently, during an interview, Kidman revealed that her children do not care about her work, but there are two exceptions in her filmography.

At a very young age, Nicole Kidman made her celluloid debut with the Australian family entertainer ‘BMX Bandits’. Quentin Tarantino called the film an equivalent of ‘The Goonies’. It also stars Angelo D’Angelo and James Lugton. During a recent interview with Sunrise, Kidman said that her two daughters, Sunday and Faith, love their mom’s debut feature.

During the interview, Nicole Kidman said, “They’ve watched ‘BMX Bandits’ … they love ‘BMX Bandits’ … but they aren’t that interested in my work. It’s kind of great — I don’t have to worry about that [the kids being too interested in my work] — in the sense they have very full lives themselves and I just get out of the way.”

During an interview with Australian Vogue, Nicole Kidman revealed that other than ‘BMX Bandits’, Sunday also enjoyed watching ‘Big Little Lies’ with her. The actress said, “She has a very good understanding of things, and life, so she was hand-held through it.”

After watching the show, Sunday told her mother, “No. There’s no more discussion. The third series has to happen…I’m sick of the talk. Sick of circling it. Just get it done.” Nicole continued, “You need a teenager to go, ‘Enough. Just do it.’”
