Her first win was at the age of 20, in 2010 when she took home the Album of the Year and Best Country Album of the Year for Fearless. And this was just the beginning, she went on to amass nominations, wins, and records in the Grammys. When Folklore won Album of the Year at the Grammys 2021, she became the first-ever woman to win the award three times. She had previously won Album of the Year for the album 1989 in the year 2015.

    Her descriptive songwriting and attractive visuals also helped her win different categories at the Grammys in various years. These include Best Country Song (2012), Best Song Written for Visual Media (2013), Best Pop Vocal Album (2016), and Best Music Video (2016). She also performed at the Grammys in 2008, 2009, 2010, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2016, and 2021.

    Here are the three ways that Taylor made history at the VMAs. Taylor made a big win at the VMAs as she claimed Video of the Year, Best Long Form Video, and Best Direction for her 15-minute ‘All Too Well‘ short film. With 14 minutes and 55 seconds, ‘All Too Well‘ became the longest video to win Video of the Year, a record previously held by Justin Timberlake’s Mirrors. She also became the only artist to have won three VMAs for Video of the Year, for ‘Bad Blood‘, ‘You Need to Calm Down‘, and finally ‘All Too Well‘. And lastly, she also became the first woman to win two VMAs for Best Direction, one for ‘All Too Well‘ and the other for ‘The Man‘ in 2020.
