Rebel Wilson has been spilling a lot of tea ahead of the release of her memoir ‘Rebel Rising’, which further promises to unveil some intriguing secrets from her life. One of the encounters revealed in the memoir is with Adele, wherein Rebel has claimed that the singer hated her.
In a recent excerpt from Rebel’s memoir published by US Weekly, the actress has shed light on some sour moments with Adele. The 44-year-old actress reveals in the excerpt that there was a time when Adele, like herself, faced confusion due to their similar appearance when both of them were overweight.
“Some actresses would get offended if I called them plus-size in this book, so I have to be careful with what I say. This is why, I think, Adele hates me,” the published excerpt reads. “There was a moment when she was bigger, and some people would confuse us for one another,” the actress added, although she admitted that it was just her assumption and she has never directly addressed the issue with the singer.
Wilson recounted instances of crossing paths with Adele, noting that the singer would often “very quickly” distance herself. “As if my fatness might rub off on her if I were near her for more than thirty seconds. She didn’t like being compared to ‘Fat Amy,’” Wilson added.
Singer Adele and Rebel Wilson have both undergone some significant transitions through their weight loss journeys that have widely been discussed in the public domain. While both these celebrities were once considered obese, they have now gotten into shape after putting some commendable efforts into getting their health back on track.
