Ana De Armas Talks About Her Nude Scenes In ‘Blonde’
Ana De Armas has received the best reviews of her career so far for portraying Marilyn Monroe in ‘Blonde‘. The film had a limited theatrical release in the US on September 16.
In a recent Variety cover story interview, the Cuban actress talked about her awareness that her nude scenes will go viral on the internet. “I know what’s going to go viral, and it’s disgusting,” she said.
‘Blonde‘ is set to start streaming globally on Netflix from September 28, which means a lot of people will have access to take-out scenes from the film. “It’s upsetting just to think about it“, she said.
“I can’t control it; you can’t really control what they do and how they take things out of context,” de Armas said. “I don’t think it gave me second thoughts; it just gave me a bad taste to think about the future of those clips.”
She further added, “I did things in this movie I would have never done for anyone else, ever. I did it for her, and I did it for Andrew (Dominik).”

Ana Defended The Film’s NC-17 Rating
‘Blonde‘ started creating headlines right after its trailer was released. It also received notoriety for becoming the first NC-17-rated film to release on a streaming platform.
The ‘Knock Knock‘ actress has slammed the NC-17 rating given to the film. “I didn’t understand why that happened“, she said, talking about receiving the rate Adults-only rating by the Motion Picture Association.
“I can tell you a number of shows or movies that are way more explicit with a lot more sexual content than ‘Blonde,‘” she further said.
“But to tell this story it is important to show all these moments in Marilyn’s life that made her end up the way that she did. It needed to be explained. Everyone [in the cast] knew we had to go to uncomfortable places. I wasn’t the only one.”
