While promoting ‘Kinds of Kindness’ alongside Emma Stone on Today in 2024, Jesse Plemons revealed that people still mistake him for Matt Damon regularly. The television host Craig Melvin shared a particular incident in which his wife spent much of the movie convinced she was watching Damon.

Responding to the mix-up, Plemons joked, “Still not Matt Damon.” The actor admitted that the confusion has been a recurring theme throughout his career. “Yeah, for a little while now, which there are worse things to be called, for sure.” For him, the comparison is flattering.
