“It’s No Longer The Depression Chamber”: Tom Schwartz’s Apartment Gets A Post-Divorce Rebrand

Reality TV star Tom Schwartz has just given a “rebrand” to his living place after his recent divorce from Katie Maloney. The 40-year-old ‘Vanderpump Rules‘ star said he has plans on making changes to his apartment at this turning point in his life.

I think I wouldn’t be ashamed to bring someone in there anymore,” Schwartz told People. He said that though the setup is still giving off “midlife crisis post-divorce vibes,” the apartment is a lot cozier as compared to before now.

Tom Schwartz jokingly referred to his previous living conditions as a “depression chamber“, and said “It’s no longer the depression chamber. I’ve rebranded.”

However, he said that his current living condition — as happy as he is with it — is temporary. Referring to it as a “$4,000 a month storage unit” he said he would stay there until he decides to shift to a new place or an apartment. He also said that he is thankful for the roof over his head.

Schwartz and ex-wife Maloney announced their split on Instagram in March 2022. The couple continued to live together in the initial days after their divorce. However, they later sold the Los Angeles house where they lived together. Both then started living separately at their own new residences.

In June 2022, Maloney bid an emotional farewell to her “dream home“. She also spoke about it on her podcast, stating that she had to make the decision to leave the house because of the hefty mortgage, maintenance, and property taxes.

Schwartz’s ex-wife took to Instagram to share a picture of her sitting alone in an empty room, as she bid farewell to the house.

I hate goodbyes. And this one hurts a lot. The emotions and words are hard to pin down. Closing this chapter on my life feels like attending my own funeral,” she captioned the post. “But I’m very much alive,” she added.

Tom Schwartz, on the other hand, has said he is learning how to be single.
