Though the couple announced their marriage in 2022, there was speculation about their relationship. It is considered that they have been married since long before the announcement. The couple, who prefer to keep their relationship private, share two daughters, Esmeralda Amada and Amada Lee.

Mendes explained that her decision to focus on her family over her career was an easy one. “It was almost just like a non-verbal agreement that it was like, ‘Okay, he’s going to work and I’m going to work. I’m just going to work here,'” she said.

During her appearance on the show, Mendes also performed a live rendition of Ryan Gosling’s iconic ‘I’m Just Ken‘. Later the same day, she also shared a playful post on Instagram, urging Gosling to return home after attending the Oscars. “You took Ken all the way to the Oscar’s, RG,” she wrote. “Now come home, we need to put the kids to bed.

That’s what it’s about — you go, you do your job the best you can, and then you come home,” she said on the show when asked about Oscars and Gosling’s latest superhit film ‘Barbie‘.
