Jacob Elordi Lands Prominent Role In Guillermo Del Toro’s ‘Frankenstein’ Adaptation

‘Saltburn,’ ‘Priscilla,’ ‘The Sweet East,’ and ‘He Went That Way’Jacob Elordi had a booked and busy 2023. The Australian actor, who earned critical acclaim playing Nate Jacobs on ‘Euphoria’ has bagged another major role. The 26-year-old actor has been tapped to play the monster in ‘Dr.Frankenstein.’

‘Frankenstein’ marks the first collaboration between Guillermo Del Toro and Jacob Elordi. The ‘Euphoria’ actor is going to play Frankenstein’s monster. The young actor stars alongside Oscar Isaac, Mia Goth, and Christoph Waltz. Guillermo Del Toro is reuniting with Netflix, having made ‘Pinocchio’ for the streaming giants in 2022.

Guillermo Del Toro has tapped Jacob Elordi for his ‘Frankenstein‘ adaptation. No stranger to playing monsters, the Australian actor is going to play Frankenstein’s monster. The 26-year-old actor replaces Andrew Garfield, who existed due to scheduling conflicts. Oscar Isaac playing his creator, Victor Frankenstein.

Jacob Elordi has another major film release this year with Paul Schrader’s ‘Oh Canada.’ The film stars Richard Gere as Leonard Fiffe, a famed documentary filmmaker who revaluates his life on his deathbed. The ‘Euphoria’ actor plays a young Fiffe, appearing in flashbacks.

Barry Keoghan and Jacob Elordi had an electric presence in ‘Saltburn.’ But the duo could have looked entirely different. The Australian actor told Vogue that Oliver was a role written initially for Timothee Chalamet. 

Jacob Elordi, who plays Felix in the movie, told the outlet, “She said she wanted Timothée Chalamet for it, and I said, ‘Have you thought about Barry Keoghan?” Barry Keoghan, who was also present for the interview, couldn’t supress his laughter.
