Sebastian Stan Debuts Scary Look For His Movie ‘A Different Man’

Stan plays Edward, an outcast who undergoes major facial reconstructive surgery and then becomes obsessed with the actor who portrays him in a play based on his old life. The Pam & Tommy‘ star shared a photo of himself in full prosthetics from the A24 movie ‘A Different Man,’ directed by Aaron Schimberg. Earlier, paparazzi had captured shots of the actor’s transformation — which shows him legitimately unrecognizable — on the New York City set. This prompted the makers to release the look officially.

The star confirmed the “incredible” transformation was made possible by Mike Marino – the owner and prosthetics artist of Prosthetic Renaissance Inc. This is the latest big transformation to come out of an A24 work this week. The movie centres around Edward – a character that the official plot synopsis describes as “an outcast seeking a new life and fresh start.” He decides to undergo facial reconstructive surgery to achieve this. Unfortunately for him, he can’t seem to find a way to leave his old life behind as it has now been adapted into a stage play. This leads Edward to become obsessed with the actor cast to play him in the show.

Renate Reinsve, star of ‘The Worst Person in the World,’ has been cast in an undisclosed role in the film. So has the British actor and television presenter Adam Pearson. He has been open about living with neurofibromatosis type I, which causes non-cancerous tumours to form on nerves throughout the body. The casting of Pearson shines a new light on the film’s potential message. The movie will likely touch upon the stigmas and portrayals of disability in the arts. As well as what a truly normal life is.

Fans Predict The Movie To Be “Insane”

The audience was left speechless after the first look of Stan was shared. His admirers took to Twitter to share their amazement while praising the star’s transformation for the movie. They even went on to praise the make-up department for their efforts. They were even quick to call out people who wrote derogatory remarks about the new look.
