The Singer Slammed Backlash Over Her Face
The singer took to social media to address the backlash she faced over her appearance at the Golden Globe Awards. She said that instead of focusing on her speech “which was about giving thanks for the fearlessness of artists like Sam and Kim“, people only talked about her looks.
She said that people only talked about her “Close-up photos of me Taken with a long lens camera By a press photographer that Would distort anyone’s face!!”
Madonna said that people are caught “in the glare of ageism and misogyny“ and that society continues to punish women who are “strong willed, hard-working and adventurous.”
