Matthew Perry‘s death came off as one of the biggest shocks that left the world grieving in 2023. The ‘Friends’ actor was found dead in his house in mysterious circumstances in a bathtub. While there was much speculation about the reason for his death initially, the post-mortem reports later confirmed that the actor died of an “acute” dosage of Ketamine that he was receiving for treatment.
Perry had a long and open history of drug usage and his struggle was in the public domain as he often talked about it, trying to help others like him. Though reports suggest that the actor had been sober for a while before his death, some people close to him have revealed that he was lying about sobriety. Some other problematic things about him have also come forward. Now one of his ex-fiancé has revealed that the actor also had violent tendencies.

Matthew Perry Was Physically Violent Towards Several Women, Claims Source
According to a source who spoke with The Daily Mail, actor Matthew Perry was abusive towards several women while he was alive. Known for his iconic role as Chandler Bing on the sitcom ‘Friends‘, Perry has been accused of violence at his ex-fiancée, Molly Hurwitz. His live-in sober companion Morgan Moses was also a victim of similar behavior, a source has claimed.
According to the report, Perry’s behavior reached a breaking point in 2021 when he allegedly “hurled a coffee table” at Hurwitz during a heated argument about fidelity. “He threw a coffee table at her and told her that she was crazy,” a source said. “He hated that she dumped him and he had terrible abandonment issues,” the source added.
Perry and Hurwitz had started dating in 2018 and got engaged in November 2020. The incident reportedly happened after Hurwitz ended their engagement after she grew suspicious that Perry was involved with a 19-year-old woman he met on the dating app Raya.

Perry Assaulted His Live-In Sober Companion, “Threw Her Onto A Bed”
In a similar allegation, The Daily Mail reported another incident in March 2022 involving Perry and his live-in sober companion, Morgan Moses. Perry allegedly pushed Moses into a wall and “threw her onto a bed” during what has been described as an “alleged meltdown.”
“He had a fear that he was going to be abandoned. He shoved Morgan into a wall and threw her onto a bed. She left… The man those close to him knew and the man that the world saw were two very different people,” the source explained.
Moses reportedly quit her job as Perry’s sober companion after the incident and burnt all the bridges with the actor. “Morgan was no longer working with Matthew. He had a horrible breakdown and in the heat of the moment he could not control his emotions,” the source was quoted as saying by The Daily Mail.
While Perry has left a legacy behind with his acting as well as his consistent efforts towards the betterment of others like himself who suffer from drug abuse, these startling revelations about him continue to pour in.
