31-year-old Miley broke the charts with her album single ‘Flowers’ and it’s finally time to pluck the honors for it. The singer-songwriter had never won a Grammy despite many nominations but that streak ends from this year on.

The Not-So-Loud U.S.A. Gets Called Out By Miley Cyrus
Taking over the stage with her blend of rock and pop, Miley made a statement at the 2024 Grammy Awards, and it wasn’t just through her music. In a bold moment, she interrupted her performance of the song ‘Flowers’, raising the volume on the party in the U.S.A.Miley noticed the audience’s lack of enthusiasm at Crypto.com arena as they were not participating in any of the performances by any celebrity. Unlike other performers, Miley didn’t let it slide and was quick to call out the dull audience in her signature style.
Singing the lyrics “I can buy myself flowers / Write my name in the sand,” Without holding back, she quipped into the mic, “Why you acting like you don’t know this song?” The call-out prompted some A-listers like Taylor Swift, Kelsea Ballerini, and Chrissy Teigen to shake off the boredom, breaking into dance and singing along.

First Ever Grammy Victory For Miley
However, Miley’s vocal prowess wasn’t the only highlight of the evening. The ‘Hannah Montana’ star walked away with the Best Pop Solo Performance Grammy. The singer outshone the tough competition of the category winning among Taylor Swift’s ‘Anti-Hero‘, Olivia Rodrigo’s ‘Vampire’, Billie Eilish’s ‘What Was I Made For’ and ’Doja Cat’s ‘Paint the Town Red’.
The ‘Endless Summer Vacation’ singer has changed the lyrics to her hit song ‘Flowers,’ many times in her live performances but this one was special. In the lyric alteration at the end of her performance, she added a touch of victory, singing, “Started to cry and then remembered: I just won my first Grammy!”
With a total of six nominations, Miley took at least one home and this one will forever be special for the singer as it marks her first-ever triumph at the Recording Academy. As the applause echoed through the Crypto.com Arena upon her win, Miley Cyrus showed the world why she’s a force to be celebrated in pop culture.
