Prince William Once Told Kevin Costner That Princess Diana Was Fond Of Him
Kevin Costner has claimed that he had once been in discussions with Princess Diana about co-starring in a sequel to ‘The Bodyguard‘. Years later, William revealed a touching detail about those talks when he met the actor.
“I ultimately had a very sweet conversation about 15 years later with Prince William,” Costner recalled during the interview. “He walked up, and we sat down, and shook hands, and the first line out of his mouth was, he says, ‘You know, my mom kinda fancied you,'” he said, quoting Prince William.
He dated the interaction to one of his visits to England. “I happened to be over in England, and got this message that, ‘The Prince would love to talk to you,'” he explained. “I’ve never talked about this, but I can because of how much I very much respect him. We met in this room, where the chairs were still stacked on chairs. It was just us. I’m sure there was somebody [outside], but just him and I met. There was nobody else,” Costner added.
