Meanwhile, production began last month in Los Angeles, the city where the original film was shot over two decades ago. Released under Columbia Pictures, the Jennifer Garner-starring flick follows an awkward 13-year-old girl who makes a fateful birthday wish.
Her wish to wake up as a glamorous 30-year-old comes true, and she soon finds herself navigating the complexities of adulthood. Garner played the character’s adult version, delivering an enchanting performance alongside Mark Ruffalo.
