Kidman also explained why their partnership meant so much to her. “He was very emotionally open with me, and I’m very protective of him,” she said before praising his tenacity, resilience, and sense of humor.

She added that Farrell carries “such an Irish kind of sensibility,” something she clearly appreciated while working alongside him. Although the tribute celebrated his success, it also offered a glimpse into the friendship they developed while making two demanding films within the same year.

She also expressed her happiness at seeing the industry finally celebrate his work. “It’s lovely to see someone who’s been so resilient and committed and pure finally being lauded for what he does,” Kidman concluded her tribute with one final compliment, “He also seems to look younger every year.”

Kidman’s words revealed more than simple admiration for a talented colleague. Years after their two massive projects, she still views Farrell as both a dependable creative partner and someone she feels genuinely protective of.
