This year fans will find Taylor Swift celebrating the Records Store Day 2022. At the beginning of this year, Taylor had shared that she will be the first one to be the global ambassador for Record Store Day. And now, this 32-year-old singer took to her Instagram and Twitter on Saturday to recognize the annual event. Taylor has also given a special shout-out to Grimey’s New and Pre-Loved Music. It is basically a Nashville-based indie music retailer.

Taylor Swift’s RFD 2022 Post on Twitter is shared above. She took to Instagram to share the greetings for the event on her Instagram Story as well. In her caption, Swift had written that she is honored to be this year’s Global Ambassador. She had also added that she is glad that they get such a golden opportunity to celebrate such sacred & important places. The mural is a recreation of the RSD logo for this year. Taylor who is an 11-time Grammy Award winner was named RSD’s first global ambassador in late January. This is to help the organizers to commemorate the annual event’s 15th anniversary. The organizers were referring to her classic Fearless and Red albums’ recent re-recordings for this event.

Record Store Day has in the last few years endorsed various artists as ambassadors. Some of the ambassadors include Fred Armisen, Brandi Carlile, Pearl Jam, Run the Jewels, St. Vincent, Metallica, David Grohl, Chuck D, and Jack White. For this year’s Record Store Day, Taylor is sharing a bonus track of her 7″ of Folklore. The track is named, “The Lakes” whereas the version is an orchestral version as the B-side.
She’s also featured on the Portraits of Her charity benefit album, which honors female musicians and music industry professionals. That too while raising funds for the nonprofit, We Are Moving the Needle. The singer has previously supported Record Store Day by releasing special editions of her albums 1989 and Speak Now, as well as a 7-inch vinyl single of Haim’s single “Gasoline.”
