Tom Cruise is, in fact, taking on another project. The 58-year-old actor is said to have partnered with Warner Bros to develop an entirely different franchise. No more details about the project are known, except Cruise is also starring in the new slate of movies.

Tom Cruise is taking on the mammoth responsibility of building another movie franchise. The ‘Jerry Maguire’ star is going to work with Warner Bros on future film projects. Under this partnership, the 61-year-old movie star is going to develop, produce, and star in “original and franchise theatrical films.”
As always, Tom Cruise was all smiles at the announcement. The ‘Edge Of Tomorrow’ star praised his future collaborators, saying, “I have great respect and admiration for David, Pam, Mike, and the entire team at Warner Bros. As far as we know, the deal changes nothing. In a conversation with The Sydney Morning Herald, Tom Cruise has explicitly stated his desire to churn out more ‘Mission: Impossible’ films. The actor cited Harrison Ford as a career longevity metric, hoping to work till his 80s.
