All About The Debut Novel
With the long title, the novel ‘The Making Of Another Major Motion Picture Masterpiece’ has two parts and three comic books crucial to the story included in them. “Every character in the book does something I’ve experienced while making a movie, as well as discovered a philosophy or learned an important lesson. Even the foolish moments are some kind of stunt I’ve pulled or mistake I’ve survived,” the Oscar-winning actor briefed People on his new book.
The timeline plot of the novel spans the 1940s and 1970s and then finally comes to the present. The story revolves around the comic books drawn by the nephew inspired by his uncle, a soldier. These comic books are later revived and made into a movie. As the story develops, one can see the complexities of filmmaking too.

Tom Hanks: ‘Uncommon Type‘
‘Uncommon Type‘ came out in 2017 and had mixed reviews from the public. The two times Academy Award winner is not new to writing even back then. He had worked as a screenwriter for the miniseries ‘Band of Brothers‘ and his writing had also appeared over the years in newspapers like The New Yorker, Vanity Fair, and The New York Times. Now talking about his short story, ‘Uncommon Type‘.
The collection has seventeen fictional stories, each of which begins with a typewriter from Hank’s collection. The habits of the characters are connected through these typewriters. With repeated appearances of characters and with many having a resemblance to Hank’s portrayals in cinema, the book is simple and risk-free.
