Travis Kelce has just married Taylor Swift. But a resurfaced clip from his past has revealed a choice few fans could have seen coming. Long before their romance began, the NFL star picked Katy Perry as the woman he would rather marry.
The unexpected answer came during a 2016 interview, when Kelce was put on the spot involving three major pop stars. And his full response has now gained a fresh layer of irony. It has especially gained attention considering the famous feud that once linked two of the women involved.
Travis Kelce Had Very Different Choices In A Playful 2016 Game

During an interview with AfterBuzz TV, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end played “Kiss, Marry, Kill”. In the game, had to choose between Swift, Perry, and Ariana Grande. Kelce did not seem thrilled about eliminating any of them. “Damn, that’s messed up. I don’t wanna kill any of them,” he said.

Still, he eventually made his first choice. “Kill Ariana, unfortunately,” Kelce continued, before adding, “Love you, but you’re gone.” He then picked his future wife for a kiss and Perry for marriage, saying, “Taylor to kiss and… what was the last one? Katy Perry would be to marry.”
A decade later, that answer could hardly look more different from reality. Swift eventually became the woman Kelce married as the couple tied the knot in a huge ceremony at Madison Square Garden.
Taylor Swift And Katy Perry Left Their Old Feud Behind

Adding another twist to the resurfaced controversy, Swift and Perry once had a bitter public falling out. Their dispute reportedly inspired Swift’s 2015 song “Bad Blood” and began after Perry apparently tried to hire several of Swift’s backup dancers and “sabotage an entire arena tour.”

Over time, however, the tension between the two pop stars faded. Their relationship appeared to be on much warmer terms by January, when Perry spoke fondly about attending Swift’s concert in Sydney, Australia, and reconnecting with her. “I got to see her, and we got to catch up, and I love her so much,” she revealed.
While the former rivals had already moved beyond their past problems, Kelce and Swift were heading toward a major new chapter of their own. On Friday, the couple said “I do” in front of 1,000 of their closest friends and some of the world’s biggest stars. Until the final hours, they kept everyone guessing and refused to confirm exactly when they planned to marry or whether they had already done so.
