As Usher readied himself for the sensational 2024 Super Bowl Halftime Show, it appears the R&B icon might have orchestrated a personal halftime surprise. Recent reports reveal the preparations the singer was getting done before heading up that stage. And let us tell you, it didn’t have much to do with the mic.

Usher And Jenn Had A Secret Wedding
The news is that Usher and his long-time girlfriend, Jenn Goicoechea, obtained a marriage license in Clark County, Nevada. This development took place just days before Usher’s electrifying performance at the Super Bowl. Even though the duo hasn’t officially filed a marriage certificate, speculation about a secret wedding is in the air.
The ‘I Dont Mind’ singer’s romance with Jenn Goicoechea traces back to 2019 when whispers of love first encircled the couple. The rumors soon solidified with the arrival of their first child, daughter Sovereign Bo. in September 2020. The pair welcomed their second child, son Sire Castrello the following year. With two sons from his previous marriage, the singer’s family became complete.

The Singer’s Take On Marriage
While fans eagerly await confirmation of the reported nuptials, Usher opened up in a recent interview with People about the prospect of marriage.
The singer expressed deep admiration for the mother of his two children Jenn. He said, “Listen, when you find someone that you know is a great partner, of course it is an honor and a pleasure to be able to share life with someone who wants to share it with you and loves you, who you are.”
Continuing his take on the question he added, “We’ve obviously made a commitment to life for life together because of our children. It wouldn’t be odd for us to get married. We already did here. You know what I’m saying?” The ‘Yeah!’ singer seemed to have said ‘Yeah!’ to the decision as marriage wouldn’t be an unexpected next step for the couple.
