When Amber Heard mentioned Kate Moss during her testimony last week, Johnny Depp’s attorneys were seen fist-pumping because the name-drop may enhance their case. Attorney Benjamin Chew made a joyous acknowledgment in a Fairfax, Virginia courtroom.
Amber highlighted Johnny’s ex-girlfriend, who she plainly did not believe was supportive of him, which could not be further from the truth. The ex is a reference to Moss’ ability to actually turn in favor of Depp in his lawsuit. According to legal experts, Heard addressing Moss on the stand might allow Depp’s side to refute a claim. The claim is that Johnny threw Kate Moss down a flight of stairs during their 1990s relationship.

On Thursday, Heard made a possible blunder when she told the jury about a March 2015 brawl. In this fight, Amber punched Depp in the face. She did so because she was afraid that Johnny was about to throw her sister Whitney down a staircase. Chew turned and fist-pumped when Amber stated she immediately thought of Kate Moss and the stairs. Usually, attorneys aren’t permitted to bring up alleged wrongdoing that isn’t tied to a specific charge in a case like this purported occurrence at trial.
However, Heard’s reference to Moss, in this case, might allow Depp’s lawyers to bring Kate Moss as a witness to answer the claim. Mitra Ahouraian, shares that Moss and Depp are still friends. Plus, Moss’ testimony earlier was not taken into account as it was deemed to be irrelevant.

Amber And Johnny Lawyers React To The Development
Ahouraian explains that Heard’s only mistake was to bring Moss up. This will open the doors for Johnny’s law team to call her for testimony. It is certain that Moss will say that nothing like that ever happened.
Former California judge and current criminal defense attorney Halim Dhanidina agreed that Depp’s team might now try to exploit the Moss remark. As per Halim, Depp’s law team may now allege that Amber brought up Kate Moss. Even though Kate wasn’t supposed to be a part of the trial. Alas, she is now. Heard’s side might then respond that Moss’ remark was designed to explain Heard’s state of mind when she hit Depp, according to Halim. Hence it is yet to realize how Amber’s allegation about Kate will unfold in the libel.
