Charlie Puth is giving back to Taylor Swift days after the pop sensation gave him a surprising shoutout in her latest album ‘The Tortured Poets Department‘ by declaring in one of her songs that Charlie Puth should be a bigger artist. Though Puth did not immediately react, he did promote her album through his social media.

However, in a clearer and louder acknowledgement, Puth has given a shoutout back to Swift while announcing new music. Declaring that he is coming out with a new single called ‘Hero‘ on social media, Puth wrote, “These last couple weeks have been really crazy for obvious reasons, but I wanted to share something with you.”

This is a song I wrote about my friend called ‘Hero.’ Sometimes I get a little nervous being overly honest in my music which is why this was sitting on my hard drive for awhile,” he added.

Subtly mentioning Taylor Swift, Puth further said, “But I think someone out there was giving me a sign that I needed to release it. So… I declare ‘Hero’ will be out everywhere on May 24th as the first single of my new album. Thank you for your support…  you know who you are.”

His most famous era still remains ‘Nine Track Mind’ and ‘Voicenotes’, when he released some of the best music of his career and also got critical acclaim for his records. His collaboration with Selena Gomez on ‘We Don’t Talk Anymore’ was one of the biggest hits of his career along with ‘Attention’ and ‘See You Again’.

As of now, Puth also has a flourishing personal life as he is set to get married to his partner Brooke Sanson who he has been linked with since 2022. The pair made their engagement official through a joint Instagram post and are reported to be planning their wedding.

Charlie Puth started trending on social media for a while after Taylor Swift mentioned him in her song, supposedly alluding to her and Matty Healey having a conversation about Puth being a bigger artist.
