Johnny Depp who is 59 presently has a weird interest in collecting Barbie dolls. This might sound a lot too strange to some people, but it’s the truth. Depp did not possess this habit all along. He started collecting barbie dolls after his eldest child, Lily-Rosy Depp was born. Depp used to play with Lily and those dolls when she was young. Over the years, the actor ended up with a lot of dolls.
He was also able to customize some of the roles too that he portrayed while playing with the dolls with his daughter. Depp, being the great actor he is, did this by employing distinctive voices for each of the Barbie characters. This went on until his daughter finally asked him to use a normal Barbie voice. And as a good father when he was told to do so, he obliged with her request. But even the best things eventually come to an end!
“I remember that we were playing one day, and she turned to me and said Daddy, just do it normally. Remove all of the voices,” Depp stated in an interview. He continued to giggle as he responded, “No more of this nonsense. And to think, that was the day I finally put away my Barbies! As she got older, she naturally stopped playing with dolls like Barbie and Ken.” But the actor didn’t bother to share them with anyone else; he simply kept them for himself.
According to what Depp said with Jimmy Kimmel, he and his daughter “played a lot of Barbies. I used to test characters on her, like Willy Wonka and Captain Jack, and another one whose name escapes me at the moment.” According to Elle magazine, Depp started collecting so many that his collection became unmanageable and he needed to find storage for them. During the course of an interview, he admitted, “I’ve got a lot of Barbies in storage.” Crazy, isn’t it?

How Many Dolls Does Johnny Depp Have?
There have been rumors that Johnny Depp owns dozens of limited-edition Barbie dolls. However, the actor has never confirmed or denied these rumors.
