Wilson Bethel is already looking beyond ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ and toward a potential clash with one of Marvel’s biggest heroes. After reprising his role as Benjamin “Dex” Poindexter, better known as Bullseye, in the Disney+ series, the actor revealed that he hopes to bring the deadly assassin into Tom Holland’s corner of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Speaking after the season finale, Bethel expressed interest in seeing Bullseye face off against ‘Spider-Man,’ adding another layer of excitement to speculation about the villain’s future. With Marvel continuing to connect its street-level heroes and villains, the idea no longer feels far-fetched.

During a recent interview with Collider, Bethel was asked which Marvel characters he would most like Bullseye to encounter next. His answer immediately pointed toward Peter Parker.

“This character would operate well in many different scenarios,” Bethel said. “He wouldn’t function well against someone like Galactus, but it would be a hell of a lot of fun to see him against Spider-Man, Hawkeye, or Punisher. There are a lot of different avenues for the character, and I hope Tom Holland decides to do another Spider-Man movie so I can be a part of that.”

The comment reflects Bullseye’s long comic-book history. While the assassin remains closely tied to Daredevil, he has frequently crossed paths with other New York-based heroes, making Spider-Man, Hawkeye, and the Punisher natural opponents.

The second season of ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ significantly changed Bullseye’s position within the MCU. Rather than remaining tied exclusively to Wilson Fisk’s criminal empire, the finale placed him on an entirely different path.

The season ended with Poindexter leaving New York alongside CIA operative Mr. Charles, played by Matthew Lillard. The development effectively transformed Bullseye from a localized threat into a figure with a far broader reach.

The shift mirrors several comic storylines that positioned the character within government-linked operations. By removing him from Fisk’s immediate orbit, Marvel created opportunities for Bullseye to appear in projects outside the ‘Daredevil’ franchise.

Bethel’s comments arrive at a particularly interesting moment for Spider-Man’s future. ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’, directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, is scheduled to reach theaters on July 31, 2026, and is already leaning toward a more grounded, street-level story.

Jon Bernthal will reprise his role as the Punisher in the film, further strengthening its ties to Marvel’s darker New York-based characters. Adding Bullseye to that mix would fit naturally within the same environment.

Spider-Man, the Punisher, and Bullseye all occupy overlapping territory in Marvel lore, creating the potential for intense conflicts without requiring a multiversal event or cosmic threat. For that reason, Bethel’s pitch feels less like wishful thinking and more like a plausible next step.

Wilson Bethel will return in ‘Daredevil: Born Again‘ Season 3, which entered production in March 2026, but his latest comments make it clear that he wants to expand Bullseye’s presence across the wider MCU. Whether Marvel follows through remains unknown, but the possibility of Bullseye aiming at Spider-Man is now firmly on fans’ radar.
