    James Gunn Promises DC Fans That New DCEU Will Not Be Repeatedly Boring Like It’s Predecessor

    DCEU has been struggling a lot to impress the audience with their last few projects, including ‘Shazam! Fury of the Gods’ and ‘Black Adam.’ While ‘The Flash’ is all set to be released in theatres, James Gunn’s plans for the franchise have raised a lot of questions.

    The joining of Gunn in the DC Studios as the co-CEO changed a lot of things for the company. This also included the stepping down of Henry Cavill as Superman and the sequel of ‘Black Adam’ being put on hold. However, Gunn has promised something that has increased expectations.

    James Gunn revealed his plans for the characters after joining DC Studios as the co-CEO in 2022. Although the cancelation of a few projects and the reboot of some characters disappointed the fans, Gunn has promised that the upcoming projects will be better than what audiences have witnessed over the years.

    Gunn said that DC will avoid the criticism that the franchise has been getting for certain reasons. He added that he has brought the best directors to helm the projects alongside flawless writers who would prepare engaging screenplays.

    It must be noted that Gunn started his journey in the DCEU back in 2021 with ‘The Suicide Squad’, which was a box office bomb despite getting positive reviews. Although the film flopped, a third film is being planned.

    Superman has been presented in different forms over the years and while audiences have been waiting for Henry Cavill’s return to the franchise, he has already stepped down from the role. But the character will be getting a new reboot in the DCEU.

    James Gunn has revealed that the new film will be titledSuperman: Legacy and it is scheduled to be released in 2025. The plot will follow the superhero’s journey for reconciling his Kryptonian heritage with his human upbringing as Clark Kent.
