Anne Hathaway Celebrates Arsenal’s Champions League Final Berth

Arsenal F.C. have reached the UEFA Champions League Final for the first time in 20 years after a 1-0 victory over Atletico Madrid sealed a 2-1 aggregate semifinal triumph. Following the result, Anne Hathaway joined the celebrations, once again showing her support for the North London club.

The second-leg victory sent Arsenal F.C. into just the second Champions League final in the club’s history. Arsenal’s previous appearance came in 2006, when they were defeated by FC Barcelona in Paris.

Hathaway celebrated the achievement by sharing a video of herself singing “North London Forever” while congratulating the team on reaching the final.

Arsenal’s impressive European campaign has been powered by a young core led by Bukayo Saka, who scored the decisive goal across the two legs against Atletico Madrid. Under manager Mikel Arteta, Arsenal have also remained firmly in the Premier League title race as they continue their push to end the club’s long wait for a league championship.

Anne Hathaway recently revealed that her support for Arsenal started through her family’s connection to the club’s famous “Invincibles” era.

In an interview with the BBC, she explained, “There was a squad called The Invincibles. And (there) was maybe the greatest player of all time, Thierry Henry, playing, and my dad was watching this match, and James McAvoy was narrating it for him.

The Oscar-nominated actress added, “My dad was like ‘that’s it, I’m an Arsenal fan’. And once somebody in your family declares a team, the whole family… (has to follow). We’ve got a great squad, and if anybody is going to do it, it’s going to be these guys. North London forever.”
