The ending of ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ season 2 may have quietly transformed one of the biggest moments from the ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day‘ trailer into something far more emotional than fans first realized.
Spider-Man Might Be Trying To Save Daredevil In ‘Brand New Day’

The short prison scene in the trailer first felt like a cool action set piece: Spider-Man battling masked members of The Hand in a dark prison block. However, when Daredevil revealed himself as Matt Murdock in front of everyone in ‘Born Again‘s last episode and got sent to jail, the scene takes on a whole new meaning.

It’s no longer just a big mess, but maybe Spider-Man is trying to save Daredevil. The last episode of ‘Born Again’ turned Matt Murdock’s life upside down. Matt has spent years battling the dark forces in Hell’s Kitchen. However, after a series of events, he decided to finally come out of the shadows in court, exposing Wilson Fisk’s corruption.
It was a brave act, but an act with harsh consequences. Matt’s arrest was a direct result of his confession and his ultimate resignation from the position and departure from New York.
Daredevil was not standing on a rooftop at the end of the finale, but rather in a prison cell. It’s enough to alter the street-level landscape of the MCU in a dramatic way. That’s where The Hand gets quite fascinating.
Spider-Man May Be Walking Into Daredevil’s War

Of course, the fans immediately saw the return of The Hand in the trailer, as the ninja organization has always been very tied up with Daredevil’s mythology. It is hard to imagine they would suddenly appear in a prison without it being part of Matt’s imprisonment.

Rather than Peter falling into yet another criminal plot, he’s likely going through the trouble to save Matt from being assassinated in jail. And the fact that that’s a possibility makes the crossover feel much more personal. With the Punisher also coming into the fold, Marvel now appears poised to make Spider-Man’s superhero journey a full-fledged adventure in the darker side of New York.
