Bill Belichick received an unexpected label from his girlfriend Jordon Hudson after she secured a major cheerleading title in Florida.
Hudson, 25, shared a photo of the couple in matching Cheer Extreme Code Black gear after her team won first place at the Cheerleading Worlds. The victory came in the International Open Coed Non-Tumbling division, one of the event’s competitive categories.
“Roses Up! for Bill the WAG,” Hudson captioned the post, using the term commonly associated with wives and girlfriends of athletes.
Belichick, 74, attended the competition to support Hudson. His appearance marked a reversal of their usual roles in public settings. Hudson has frequently been present at Belichick’s football events, including during his transition to coaching at the college level.
The longtime NFL coach is now leading the North Carolina Tar Heels football program. He was hired in December 2024 and completed his first season in Chapel Hill with a 4-8 overall record, including a 2-6 mark in conference play.
His debut year also brought attention beyond the field. A widely discussed “CBS Sunday Morning” interview and reports regarding Hudson’s access to university facilities drew headlines during the season. Despite that scrutiny, the couple has continued to appear together publicly at events tied to both of their careers.

Bill Belichick records zero NFL Draft picks in first full year with North Carolina

Belichick’s program also faced a notable outcome after the 2026 NFL Draft: no players from North Carolina were selected.
The result marked the first time since 2016 that the program did not produce a draft pick. The Tar Heels had previously been described internally as the league’s “33rd franchise,” but none of their players were chosen by the 32 NFL teams this year.
Several players later signed as undrafted free agents. Offensive linemen Austin Blake and Chad Lindberg joined the Los Angeles Rams. Cornerback Marcus Allen signed with the Minnesota Vikings, while Thaddeus Dixon joined the New York Giants.
