YouTuber Banned for Life From NFL Events After Fake Draft Pick Stunt

A YouTuber has been banned for life from all future NFL events after interrupting the NFL Draft and announcing a fake selection on stage.

The incident circulated widely on social media on April 28, 2026. Video shows the individual running onto the draft stage and making an unauthorized announcement. In the clip, the person states, “With the 67th pick, the Pittsburgh Steelers select,” before being removed.

The league issued a lifetime ban following the disruption of an official event. The NFL Draft is a controlled broadcast production, and only authorized representatives are permitted to announce team selections.

Security personnel intervened shortly after the announcement and escorted the individual off stage. The league has not publicly identified the individual in its official communication. The video drew significant online attention, garnering more than 1.7 million views within hours of posting. It was widely shared across platforms following the incident.

The Pittsburgh Steelers completed the 2026 NFL Draft with 10 selections, shaping one of the league’s largest rookie classes and affecting several veteran roles.

At linebacker, the team did not make any additions, leaving Patrick Queen in position to continue as a starter. Queen had faced uncertainty earlier in the offseason after an inconsistent 2025 season, roster bonus considerations, and trade discussions. With no new competition added, he is expected to hold his role entering the final year of his contract.

Along the offensive line, Pittsburgh selected Max Iheanachor in the first round and later traded up to draft Gennings Dunker in the third round. Dunker is expected to transition to guard and compete with Spencer Anderson and Brock Hoffman for a starting role.

At quarterback, the additions of skill players provide support for whoever starts under center. Aaron Rodgers remains a leading option, alongside Will Howard and Drew Allar. The team added wide receiver Germie Bernard in the second round after trading up, along with Kaden Wetjen in the fourth round. Riley Nowakowski was selected in the fifth round, and Eli Heidenreich in the seventh round adds further offensive flexibility.

Wide receiver Roman Wilson faces increased competition following the new additions. Wilson recorded 166 receiving yards on 12 catches in 2025 after limited action as a rookie.

At safety, Jaquan Brisker and DeShon Elliott remain positioned as starters, as the team only added Robert Spears-Jennings late in the draft. Defensive tackle Gabriel Rubio, selected in the sixth round, adds depth and creates competition for roster spots, including for Logan Lee.
