Yana Tobosa’s ‘Black Butler’ got immense popularity among fans who love the groovy stuff. The story focuses on a twelve-year-old boy who suffers mistreatment, seeking the help of a demon to exact revenge on all those who tormented him. His focus mostly was on finding out his parent’s murderers.
The story draws a dark theme of violence, blood, and witty exchanges which makes viewers click on the next episode automatically. Though the anime has come to a halt, the manga is still continuing with no end in sight. The most alluring part of the series is the exchange between the young boy and the demon, namely Ciel and Sebastian.

What Is The Story Of ‘Black Butler’
Ciel Phantomhive, the protagonist of the story makes a contract with a demon, Sebastian Michaelis, to find his parent’s murderer and punish them. But things are not as simple as it seems. Ciel’s parents became victims of a deadly conspiracy and lost their lives when the whole mansion was set to fire.
Fortunately the twelve-year-old survives the incident, only to watch a crueler destiny waiting for him. A group of crazy cult people kidnaps him along with several other children. These cult members perform human experiments on them, with their goal being unclear.

Ciel becomes the most successful experiment of all. His life energy comes to an end, as he decides to call on a demon with all the hatred he gathered through these torturous trials. Since praying to God attained no result, he invoked the demon to his call. Sebastian made an appearance at this moment, forming a contract with the young duke.
Their journey starts as Ciel burns the whole cult along with the members, using Sebastian’s power. He becomes the head of the household and takes on the family business at twelve years old. Their family was the rulers of the underworld, working under Her Majesty. As he solves cases, he also walks on the road to find the main culprits of that incident.

Relationship Between Ciel Phantomhive And Sebastian Michaelis
Though many hoped Sebastian would develop some sort of attachment towards Ciel after years of being together, they were totally wrong. In their contract, one fact was made very clear – Sebastian will act as the sword and shield of the young Phantomhive Duke and assist in anything he wants till he finds and exacts revenge on his parent’s culprit.
In return, Ciel will offer his soul when everything is over. Rather than being attached to Ciel, Sebastian is more obsessed with him, in a bad way. He will do anything to make sure Ciel finds his ultimate goal so that he can have his tasty soul meal. Though it’s a bit creepy to hear, from a demon’s perspective it’s completely fine.

So in the end, no matter how interesting their exchange may be, in the end, they are in a deal. Neither Ciel nor Sebastian forgets this important fact. In many instances, Ciel stated Sebastian is no more than a loyal dog to him, while the latter only smiled and acknowledge his statement.
