Brooke Hogan is opening up about her family relationships, including where things stand with her mother, Linda Hogan, following years of estrangement and the death of her father and wrestling legend, Hulk Hogan.
In an interview published on April 13, 2026, Brooke said she felt “powerless” during the final years of her father’s life, revealing that they had not spoken for two years before his death on July 24, 2025. For the unversed, Hulk Hogan died at the age of 71 at his home in Clearwater, Florida, after suffering a heart attack following a period of declining health.
Brooke explained that the estrangement stemmed from concerns about the people surrounding her father. “He said, ‘You go this way, I go that way,’” she recalled, adding that she ultimately chose to step away while navigating major life changes. “I was pregnant with my twins. I was newly married. I just had to take a break,” she said.
She also acknowledged that reconciliation may not have been possible, even if he had lived. “I don’t know if we would have ever reconnected, even if he were alive, because of the mindset he was in,” Brooke said.
The 37-year-old added, “He would have had to have a change of mindset and a change of company. I don’t know if he was there. I don’t know if he was willing to do that.”
Reflecting on that difficult period, Brooke described feeling unable to intervene. “You feel so powerless. It’s such a tangled web, too. It’s dangerous talking about, criticizing certain people.”

Despite the distance, Brooke said she has found some sense of peace since his death, noting she now speaks to him privately and believes ‘The Hulkster’ is no longer in pain.
Brooke Hogan Breaks Silence On Linda Hogan Rift And Past Family Drama

Brooke Hogan said her relationship with her mother, Linda, remains strained following a public dispute in March 2025, when Linda claimed her daughter had cut off contact and excluded her from major life events.
Brooke responded at the time by alleging she had experienced “verbal and mental abuse since childhood,” which contributed to her decision to go no contact.
In the new interview, the 37-year-old said recent communication from her mother to her husband further damaged any chance of reconciliation, describing the message as “so cruel and so brutal” that it “shut the door completely.”
She also pointed to long-standing family issues tied to her parents’ divorce, which was finalized in 2009, saying it created divisions that affected the entire family dynamic. Brooke’s comments come against the backdrop of a highly public upbringing.
She first rose to fame as a teenager on the VH1 reality series Hogan Knows Best, which aired from 2005 to 2007 and documented her life with her parents and brother, Nick Hogan. The show portrayed her relationship with her father as protective and often controlling while she pursued a music career.
