Kendrick Lamar’s Fifth Studio Album: Everything To Know
Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers, Kendrick Lamar’s fifth studio album, will be released on May 13th, unnoticed by the rest of the world until only minutes ago.
In response to a February tweet from a user that claimed, “Kendrick Lamar is officially retired,” the prolific rapper and pgLang co-founder tweeted out the album announcement.
The tweet was accompanied by a link to Lamar’s Oklama website, which is a blank page with two files, one of which had a scan of a statement on pgLang letterhead.“Here is a statement from Oklahoma.. Through his company, pgLang at 11:00 am PT in Los Angeles, CA,” it stated.

“All factual information for this release will come directly from this source only,” the message went on to say. This was after many false alarms regarding a K Dot album.
The record will follow DAMN, Lamar’s Pulitzer Prize-winning masterpiece that just marked its fifth anniversary (April 14). Lamar has been busy recently with his mystery pgLang firm with Dave Free. It has revealed two signees, Baby Keem and Tanna Leone.
Several collaborations with Yara Shahidi, Brent Faiyaz, and Jorja Smith for labels like Calvin Klein.
Lamar performed a theatrical show at Day N Vegas in November, detailing his musical journey from Section 80 to DAMN.
