Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce could end up spending Valentine’s Day 2027 at the Super Bowl due to the NFL’s scheduling calendar, according to comments Kelce made during the May 20 episode of the New Heights podcast. The couple, who have been together since 2023 and are reportedly planning their wedding, may see the romantic holiday coincide with the NFL championship game next year.
During the episode, Travis discussed the unusual Super Bowl timing with his brother, former Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce. “I don’t think I could ever remember it being that late in February,” Travis said of the Super Bowl falling on Valentine’s Day. “In my mind, it’s what’s going on? Is it just kinda how the month of September starts here?”
Jason responded by recalling another season when Valentine’s Day nearly overlapped with the NFL title game. “I feel like I remember Valentine’s Day being close to the Super Bowl again another year on it because I remember it being big news for men to be watching the Super Bowl on Valentine’s Day,” Jason said.
Travis, meanwhile, associated the holiday more with another major sporting event. “I feel like I always remember Valentine’s Day being the NBA All Star weekend,” he said.

Kansas City Chiefs previously reached the Super Bowl in both 2024 and 2025, with Taylor Swift attending each appearance to support Travis Kelce. Swift celebrated alongside the Chiefs after their championship victory in 2024 and was also in attendance during the team’s Super Bowl loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in 2025.
Kansas City did not make it back to the Super Bowl in 2026, when the Seattle Seahawks defeated the New England Patriots 29-13 to capture the title. The NFL’s 2026 regular season is scheduled to begin Sept. 9, with the Seahawks set to host the Patriots in the league opener following Seattle’s championship campaign.

Travis Kelce is also set to play on Thanksgiving later this year when the Kansas City Chiefs face the Buffalo Bills as part of the NFL holiday schedule. “I love the holiday games,” Travis said during the podcast discussion.
The Chiefs, however, are not scheduled to play on Christmas Day this season, giving Kelce time away from game action during the holiday. Jason noted that the open schedule would allow his brother to celebrate with family.
