Demetrius Edward Flenory, famously known as “Big Meech” is an American drug trafficker. He was arrested in 2005 along with his brother Terry Flenory, also known as “Southwest T.”
Both the brothers, Demetrius and Terry began selling cocaine during their high school days in Detroit, Michigan. They gradually widened their business and established the Black Mafia family, selling cocaine throughout the U.S.

All About Big Meech
Big Meech was born on June 21, 1968, in Detroit, Michigan. As already mentioned above, he began selling drugs as early as his high school days. The two brothers, Demetrius Flenory and Terry Flenory led to the establishment of the Black Mafia Family, which they founded in 1985.
In 2005, Big Meech was arrested by the Drug Enforcement Administration and has been in prison since. Both Big Meech and Terry were sentenced to 30 years in prison. He is currently serving his punishment at the Federal Correctional Institute in Sheridan.

Big Meech’s Prison Term
Big Meech and his brother were arrested by the police in 2005, and Meech has been in prison since 2008. They both served 30 years in prison, at the Federal Correctional Institute. Although Terry was released two years ago due to health issues and Covid-19 and has been under house arrest since.
Meech’s punishment had also been reduced due to changes in sentencing guidelines. He is likely to be released by 2028 now, regarding the new laws that apply to all that were prisoned before 2014. He also earned his GED while incarcerated and underwent drug treatment and completed classes, as mentioned in The Detroit News.
